Suzanne Rust is a writer, editor, lifestyle expert and on-air talent. As a former staff editor and media spokesperson for Real Simple Magazine, Rust was a frequent contributor to NBC's "Today" show and "Weekend Today" and has appeared as an expert on CNN, WABC, WCBS, Fox and PBS, where she covered an array of topics such as health, beauty, entertaining, organizing and, of course, cooking.
She is currently a contributing editor for the MSNBC website, The Grio, where she covers culture and high-profile professionals in the arts. Rust also writes regularly for Citibank’s Women & Co., where she puts her spin on lifestyle topics with a work/money angle; and BermanBraun’s Mom.me, where she addresses parenting concerns.
Rust also has extensive experience as an on-air host. She was host for two seasons of the "Home Savvy" show, a home improvement web series sponsored by the Home Depot, on MadameNoire.com. In addition, she has hosted segments for the Today Show website where she taught viewers how to add curb appeal to their homes as well as how to whip up chocolate desserts.
Rust had the good fortune of living in Rome, Italy, for 10 years where she learned to cook in her mother-in-law’s kitchen and with her Italian husband. She still dreams of the open-air vegetable markets and the cured pork from the Antica Norcineria Viola in Campo dei Fiori …
She lives in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
