Author and screenwriter Lucy Dahl's first feature film, "Wild Child," staring Emma Roberts, Aiden Quinn and Natasha Richardson, was released in Europe in 2008 and is slated for U.S. release in 2010. She currently is developing another original screenplay for Gold Circle Films.
Dahl began her screenwriting career following the publication of movie tie-in books for Disney Press and Puffin Books. She also recently wrote an essay for the Times of London about the lessons in food and imagination she got from parents, author Roald Dahl and actress Patricia Neal.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two dogs and a pig, Francis Bacon. She has two children and five step-children; all but one have flown the nest. Dahl's passion is dungeness crabbing in Orcas Island, Wash., where she spends as much time as possible.
