Previously, he was entertainment editor at the Daily News of Los Angeles, the Press-Enterprise of Riverside, Calif., and the New Haven Register in Connecticut.
Gallo, an avid home cook and wine enthusiast, has written about food and wine for the Los Angeles Times, Bon Appetit and Variety. His first book, "Record Store Days: From Vinyl to Digital and Back Again," was published in April by Sterling Publishers.
